Playing now and every day on Australian Country Radio.
From the album Ricochet comes another Kristy Cox track, this one is called "Sweet English Rose" written with Allan Caswell
Kristy told Australian Country Radio, "I love this song, I love the tin whistle, I love the story and most of all I love how it sounds like home to me".
The song is based on an important part of Australia's history - of being one of the first nations in the world to allow women to immigrate without being married or relocating with a parent.
"I was touring in Hobart and saw a historical sign and read this, I never knew this piece of Australian history and thought it was something really terrific", says Kristy.
"I wanted to write a song about it and Allan was the perfect co-writer. We decided to write it as a story song, telling the tale of a young English girl who took the chance to move 'Down Under' all by herself to start a new future at the end of the world".
