At the Golden Guitar Awards, Tyson was selected to perform alongside Troy Cassar -Daley and described the experience as “The most exciting time of my life… " Tyson told Australian Country Radio, "This song was actually started being written by my mum when she was working on night-shift at 3 am while working away in the mines. She was missing us terribly and she thought she would put her feelings on paper. 'It's about how both of my parents who work away feel when they have to leave us with our Nanna to go away for 6 days work and how my younger brother and I feel while they are away. Parents struggle every day to leave their children to go to work, some parents are away from their children for months at a time, and it does have a massive impact on families. "This is our story and we hope that other families can relate to this song." The new song from Hayley Jensen is called "Young Years" and its a story from Hayleys life. In her late teens and early twenties she endured a life controlled, manipulated and ultimately dominated by an abusive partner. Years on and in a loving and respectful relationship she made the heart-wrenching decision to share her journey through song. Hayley told Australian Country Radio, "domestic violence and abuse is a issue bigger than I think many of us understand. I know that as a strong and Independent woman, if I can get caught up in an abusive relationship then anyone can. That concept is really scary to me. When you realise that one woman a week is killed as a result of domestic violence, and it is the number one cause of homelessness, you just have to pay attention. These numbers are terrifying and I felt compelled to do something about it!' Hayley Jensen "Young Years" playing now on Australian Country Radio.
