Playing now and everyday on Australian Country Radio the new tune from Matt Cornell called "In This Town"
Co written with @Allan Caswell, Matt tells Australian Country Radio, "When I played the chorus idea to Allan, it really struck a chord with him, he immediately came up with the line ‘nobodies a nobody in this town,’ that went on to set the tone for the rest of the song.
From there, Matt Fell weaved his magic, he worked so hard on this track, sonically it sounds so different to my other albums, I love his production on this song."
The first verse is about a much loved old boxer that everyone knows, he’s a little punch drunk & hard to understand, when he walks down the road they still call him “champ”.
The second verse is about a woman who has lost her husband in Iraq, and raising three kids under seven on her own. In her town – she is the hero.
The song was nothing more then an unfinished chorus when Matt first joined Allan Caswell for a songwriting session.
